Digs for whoever the job moves next

Wherever the site is, your digs shouldn't be a scramble.

Digshare connects tradespeople working away from home with rooms near the job, and lets you team up with someone on the same contract to split a whole place instead.

Launching in the next few days. Join the list to be first in.

Two ways in

Post a room, or request a digshare

Whichever side of the job you're on, the listing works the same way: real dates, a real site, sorted direct with the other person.

For room hosts

Post your spare room

Got a room going unused? List it with your dates, price, and how close you are to the local sites. Contractors search by postcode and job dates, not by scrolling a city at random.

  • Set your own price and minimum stay
  • Say what's included: bills, wifi, parking for a van
  • Talk to whoever asks first, no bidding war
Get notified as a host
For site workers

Request a digshare

Post an open request tied to your site and contract dates. Other workers heading to the same job see it, and you can split a whole house or flat between you instead of paying solo digs rates.

  • Match by site postcode and start date, not by chance
  • Split rent, bills and the driving between the crew
  • Works for a single room too, not just a full property

How it works

Four steps, start to move-in

1

Tell us the job

Site postcode, start date, and roughly how long the contract runs.

2

Browse or post

Search rooms near the site, or put up a digshare request if you'd rather split a whole place.

3

Message direct

Talk to the host or the other worker yourselves and agree price, dates and house rules.

4

Move in, sorted

Stay for the length of the job. Extend it, end it, or move on to the next site when it wraps.

The digshare request

Splitting a place isn't luck, it's matching

Two electricians and a groundworker landing on the same job in three weeks' time will probably never cross paths to arrange a house share between them. A digshare request puts that in front of the right people automatically.

  • Post the site, the dates and how many rooms you're after

  • Anyone else matched to the same job can join the request

  • Once you've got enough people, book the place together and split it however you agree

Why Digshare

Built around the way site work actually runs

Priced for the job, not the city

Digs near the site, not a hotel rate in the nearest city centre. Hosts set prices for people who are actually working, not visiting.

Stays that match your contract

Book for a fortnight, three months, or however long the job runs. No fixed minimum tenancy, no early exit fees to argue over.

Direct, no faceless booking desk

You message the host or the other worker yourself. Digshare gets you in front of the right person, then gets out of the way.

Pricing

One flat price, not a slice of your rent

Your first 7 days are free. After that, hosts pay £50 a month and workers pay £25 a month, or you pay once for life. No commission on rent.

No commission on rent

Rent goes straight from you to your host. We never take a percentage of it.

Deal direct, get paid direct

The host sets one all-in price covering everything, cleaning included. You agree it and pay the host directly. No haggling through us, no hidden extras.

Cancel any time

Monthly plans renew each month until you cancel. Cancel in your account and you keep the plan until the end of the month you have paid for.

A worked example. Take a 12 week job in a room at £120 a week, so £1,440 in rent. A typical 15% commission would take £216 of that. A Digshare guest plan is £25 a month.

Questions about digs for workers away from home

How much does Digshare cost?

Everyone gets 7 days free. After that the guest plan is £25 a month and the host plan is £50 a month. A founding lifetime plan is £450 once for the first 250 members. There is no commission on rent.

Does Digshare take commission or hold my rent?

No. Digshare never takes a cut of your rent and never holds rent or deposits. Hosts set one all-in weekly price and you pay the host directly.

What is a digshare?

A digshare is a request where workers heading to the same site team up to share a whole place and split the rent, instead of each hunting for a room alone.

Who is Digshare for?

Contractors, tradespeople and anyone working away from home who needs affordable digs near the job, and hosts with a spare room to rent out.

How do I find digs near my site?

Enter the postcode of your site and Digshare shows rooms nearest first with the all-in weekly price. Message the host, see the room, then agree terms directly.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and run to the end of the month you have paid for. Consumers also have 14 days to cancel a new purchase.

Next job booked. Next digs shouldn't be the hard part.

Whether you've got a room to fill or a site to get digs sorted for, it will take a couple of minutes to post. Join the launch list and we will email you the day it opens.
