Terms of use

Last updated 22 October 2026

Digshare is a matching board. We help hosts and site workers find each other. Rent, house rules and any tenancy or lodging agreement are between you and the other person. We never handle your rent or deposit and we take no commission.

1. Who we are

Digshare is a trading name of Vireli Group LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. In these terms, "we", "us" and "Digshare" mean Vireli Group LTD. You can reach us at info@digshare.co.uk.

These terms, our privacy policy, cookie policy, cancellation and refunds policy and community rules form the agreement between you and us when you create an account or use Digshare.

2. What Digshare is, and is not

Digshare lets hosts list rooms and properties, lets site workers search for them, and lets workers post and join digshare requests to share a place. We provide the website, the app and the messaging between users. We are not a letting agent, a landlord, an estate agent or a booking service. We do not inspect or approve listings, we do not become a party to any agreement you make with another user, and we do not hold or pass on rent or deposits.

3. Using Digshare

4. Hosts

If you post a room or a property, you confirm that you are entitled to let it and that you have every permission, licence, insurance and consent that applies, such as from a landlord, a mortgage lender, a leaseholder's freeholder or the council. You are solely responsible for the legal duties that come with letting, which may include (depending on your situation) Right to Rent checks in England, house in multiple occupation licensing, deposit protection, gas, electrical and fire safety, and tax. Your listing must be accurate, up to date and describe the place honestly, including the all-in weekly price you set. You must not discriminate against anyone in a way the law prohibits, such as under the Equality Act 2010.

The all-in price shown on a listing is the price the host asks for everything they charge for the stay. A host must not add extra mandatory charges after a guest has agreed the price.

5. Site workers and digshare requests

A digshare request is an invitation for other workers heading to the same site to share a place. Joining a request does not create a tenancy, a lodging agreement or a booking. Once enough people have joined, it is up to the group to find and agree a place together and to agree who pays what. Digshare takes no part in sharing costs between members.

6. Plans and the free first 7 days

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post, including photos, descriptions and messages. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and deliver it for the purpose of running Digshare, and to remove it under these terms. You promise you have the right to post it, including the right to use any photographs, and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.

8. What is not allowed

The full list is in our community rules. In short: no fake, misleading or duplicate listings, no asking for money before a person has seen the place, no scams, no harassment, abuse or unlawful discrimination, no spam, and nothing illegal. We may remove a post, limit an account or close it if these rules are broken. If we close your account for breaking these terms, we are not able to refund an unused plan, except where the law requires it.

9. Reporting problems

You can report a post, a message or a user at info@digshare.co.uk. How we deal with reports, and how to complain about a decision we make, is set out in our community rules.

10. Staying safe

We do not check listings, hosts or workers beyond the optional verified host badge, and we cannot promise that anyone is who they say they are. Please view a place before you pay for it, never send money to someone you have not met, and tell someone where you are going. Digshare will never ask you for card or bank details in a message. Our guide to paying a host safely has more.

11. Our responsibility

Digshare is a matching service and we are not a party to any arrangement between users. We are not responsible for what users say or do, or for the condition, safety, suitability or legality of any place. We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your legal rights as a consumer, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Subject to that, and so far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach, or for any business losses, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose.

We do not promise that Digshare will always be available or free of errors. We work to keep it running and will fix problems as quickly as we reasonably can.

12. If you are a consumer

If you are using Digshare as an individual and not for a business, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, including that digital services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

13. Complaints

If you are unhappy with Digshare, email info@digshare.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and aim to give you a full answer within 20 working days. If we cannot resolve it, you can still use the courts. We are not currently a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme.

14. Changes and ending

We may update these terms and the service. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it applies. You can stop using Digshare and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing us. Ending your account does not affect rights that have already arisen.

15. General

16. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
